Uganda Martyrs University on 28th of July, 2016 held the second edition of the E4Impact MBA business ideas competition that brought together brilliant ideas from all over the country of Uganda. I was honoured to be one of the judges evaluating the business plans brought forward.
Ideas ranged from piggery, community development, tourism and micro credit facilities to vocational training businesses with some presentations putting smiles and laughter on the fore front of our faces. The event was well organised and gave each individual entrepreneur a chance to improve their presentation skills. The panel of judges in the three groups was well represented from companies in all sectors and gave everyone involved a chance to actively network during and after.
I applaud Father Edward Ssemwogerere and the UMU team as well as E4Impact for this initiative that empowers individuals to think outside the box. I would also love to see more women finalists in subsequent competitions!
